Not necessarily the news
The upcoming issue of Nutrition & Healing is already off to print -- otherwise I have no doubt Dr. Wright would want to include this in his recurring "Department of Duh" column… According to a recent study -- published in the prestigious British Medical Journal, mind you -- "unhealthy lifestyle boosts stroke risk." Researchers recruited 20,000 people for this study. And after evaluating the participants' habits, they found that stroke risk "is more than doubled by an unhealthy lifestyle that includes smoking, drinking too much alcohol, lack of exercise, and poor eating habits." I hate to burst the researchers' bubble, but no matter how valuable it is, their discovery is hardly earth-shattering. In fact, their findings could easily be applied to almost EVERY OTHER HEALTH PROBLEM THERE IS! So while we can't really consider it "news," we can consider it a reminder to make those lifestyle choices we're faced with every day healthy ones.
